A four-level taxonomy — vertical, domain, group, type — with vertical-specific extensions hanging off a single asset spine. Condition graded A through X, remaining life derived, replacement cost held against it.

Task
Work orders and PPM schedules with an explicit state machine — assigned, accepted or rejected, complete, closed — and immutability after close. SLA response and fix windows compute breach flags rather than relying on someone to notice.

Asset Intelligence Engine
Every asset gets an opinion — and has to justify it
The engine answers three questions per asset: repair or replace, when to dispose, and how to optimise the lifecycle. It answers them with a stated confidence and a human review step before anything happens.
Deterministic scoring
The score comes from condition, remaining life, replacement cost and risk — a calculation you can re-run by hand and get the same answer. The language model writes the explanation; it never produces the number.
Human in the loop
Recommendations enter a review queue. A decision, once approved, becomes an immutable record carrying its provenance, its approval chain and the inputs it was based on at the time.
Portfolio triage
Above the per-asset view, a portfolio pass surfaces what needs attention today and what can wait — so a team of four managing twelve thousand assets knows where Monday goes.
Provable history
An audit trail that can prove itself
Each audit row stores a hash of its own content plus the hash of the row before it. Alter any historical record and every subsequent hash stops matching. One click verifies the chain and shows you exactly where it broke.

Multi-tenant by construction
Row-level isolation enforced at the data layer by global query filters, not by remembering to add a WHERE clause. Enterprise and Dedicated tiers can take a dedicated database where the risk appetite demands it.
Sites, not just locations
Places form a self-referential hierarchy — region, site, building, floor — with orthogonal cross-cuts for fire compartments, service areas, performance groups and USRN-anchored networks. One asset can belong to several without duplication.
Everything is audited
Every table carries tenant, created-by, created-date, modified-by and modified-date. Nothing is ever hard-deleted; records are flagged and recoverable. The audit log itself is hash-chained.
Validated at every edge
Inputs validated on the server regardless of what the browser did, permissions checked explicitly rather than assumed, and domain entities never returned directly to an API consumer.
